Study Course

 

    Study and teaching are an important part of the Liberal Catholic Church Grail Community especially on the subjects of esoteric Christianity, the sacraments and healing.

     For some time, we have been considering the possibility of a correspondence study course and a list of recommended reading for those who show an interest in esoteric Christianity, the work of the Liberal Catholic Church and the Grail Community in particular. Although our individual Oratories have their own structured study groups and informal discussions over light refreshments after each service, there are many isolated by distance, particularly new enquirers, who do not enjoy the advantages of this facility.

 

    Starting on 1st February 2009, we are offering a system of postal study, where one paper will be sent every month for 12 months, at a nominal cost of £20 to cover the cost of photocopying, postage, packaging and administration. For those who wish to explore these subjects even further within the Church, recommended reading lists will also be sent.

 

    Here at Chalice House we enjoy a very comprehensive library consisting of several thousand books, some of which are quite rare or out of print. Whilst we cannot, for obvious reasons, allow these to be borrowed due to the risk factor involved, we can draw on this material for those who are likely to benefit from the vast array of subjects available. The course also contains study material unavailable elsewhere and consists mainly of original material written by Grail Community priests and bishops.

 

     The course contains a monthly study paper and a suggested reading list. Some papers will also include prayers, rituals and meditations as a practical guide in the spiritual life and journey for those who wish to use them. The subjects for the course are as follows:

2. The Spiritual Constitution of Man.

 

3. Meditation.

 

4. Spiritual Psychology.

 

5. Reincarnation and Karma.

 

6. Death the Gateway to Life.

 

7. The Seven Rays.

 

8. The Feminine Principal and Our Lady.

 

9. The Angelic Kingdom.

 

10. The Church’s Year as a Reflection of Our Own Spiritual Journey.

 

11. The Symbolism and Sacraments of the Church.

 

12. The Holy Eucharist, the Central Act of Christian Worship.

Articles of interest

    The following articles have been written by various clergy of The Grail Community and offer a unique insight into the spiritual life and also esoteric Christianity. Sometimes such articles need to be read several times and with intuitive insight to gain a full understanding.
